Welcome to the CS Gold Mailing List (address csgold@lists.siue.edu)! This users' list has been created in order to communicate problems with the CS Gold devices as well as provide a problem log for future reference. We have changed this mailing list just a little, in order for it to become a more effective way of reporting CS Gold problems. This is a closed list, where only approved members (i.e. subscribers) are allowed to read and to post to the list. When any SIUE faculty, staff, student, or alumni report a problem with any of the CS Gold devices, you can report it to ITS(and inform the other list members at the same time) by sending an email to csgold@lists.siue.edu, describing the problem. Please do not forget to tell us which device and in what location you are having the problem as well as any device error messages you may have received. The devices can include the following as well as other devices connected to CS Gold in the future: Laundry Control Units (LCU's) Card System Value Terminal (CSVT's) Door Readers / Door controllers Card Swipers (Turbo Card readers) Vending readers Printer readers Turnstile card readers Please note: Micros Cash Register problems are reported via the Micros mailing list. Since, this is a closed list -- meaning not just anyone can join -- a subscription to this list will need to be approved, electronically by the list owners (Bruce Meier, Jerry Dondanville, or Mike Stedelin). Only subscribers can view the messages. It is also a restricted list -- meaning that only subcribers can post/write to the list. In order to minimize the emails each of us will receive, do NOT comment on EVERY email received. Post only when you are providing new/additional information, answering a question and/or clarifying a miscommunication or error. Thank you for being a part of this list and helping to facilitate communication between the users and SIUE staff (both technical and other) who need to be informed about any of these problems. Using Csgold
To post a message to all the list members, send email to csgold@lists.siue.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Csgold
Subscribe to Csgold by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   If the email address you are using to subscribe to this list is your campus email address (i.e. one ending in @siue.edu), then you do not need to enter a password here -- to log into the "Subscribers" area below, you would use your e-ID and password instead. If the email address you are using to subscribe to this list is not your campus email address (i.e. one not with ending in @siue.edu), you can choose to enter a password for this list below. Do not use a valuable password as it may occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a list password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
