About Micros	English (USA)
Welcome to the Micros Mailing List (address micros@lists.siue.edu)! The MICROS mailing list has been created to facilitate the communication among the tech staff for the MICROS Cash Registers and the client software users. This list can and should be used for discussing problems, asking questions, posting announcements, and sharing ideas between our MICROS Cash Register users. To help facilitate these online discussions, list members can address such emails to the address: MICROS@lists.siue.edu and thus all members of the mailing list will receive the letter. Members can also respond to others' postings by replying to the list, not to the individual member. This way all members will receive a heads up on the items of discussion. Since, this is a closed list -- meaning not just anyone can join. Only subscribers can view the messages. It is also a restricted list -- meaning that only subcribers can post/write to the list. In order to minimize the emails each of us will receive, do NOT comment on EVERY email received. Post only when you are providing new/additional information, answering a question and/or clarifying a miscommunication or error. Using Micros
To post a message to all the list members, send email to micros@lists.siue.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Micros
Subscribe to Micros by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   If the email address you are using to subscribe to this list is your campus email address (i.e. one ending in @siue.edu), then you do not need to enter a password here -- to log into the "Subscribers" area below, you would use your e-ID and password instead. If the email address you are using to subscribe to this list is not your campus email address (i.e. one not with ending in @siue.edu), you can choose to enter a password for this list below. Do not use a valuable password as it may occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a list password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
