Welcome to the IDComm Mailing List (address IDComm@lists.siue.edu)!!! This mailing list has been created to facilitate the communication among members of the SIUE ID committee -- a committee to advise and prioritize ITS projects related to the ID Card System. Although, we have regularly scheduled meetings, there may be a need to post announcements, suggests topics for future discussions, or share ideas between meetings. To help facilitate these online discussions, list members can address such emails to the address: IDComm@lists.siue.edu and thus all members of the ID committee will receive the letter. Members can also respond to others' postings by replying to the list, not to the individual member. This way all committee members will receive a heads up on the items of discussion. List members include members of the Campus ID Card Committee as well as others, such as supervisors and back-up support for members. This list is a closed list, which means not just anyone can join the list ... and only approved members (i.e. subscribers) are allowed to read and to post to the list. The list owners approve those who subscribe to the list. If you would like someone to be on this list, please let the list owners know, so that when s/he subscribes, we will know to approve the subscription. This list is also a "restricted list", which means posting messages to the mailing list is restricted to list members only. All subscribers can view the messages. If you want only certain people to read your response, do not reply or write an email to the list address -- rather, compose an email directly to only those specific people. Using IDComm
To post a message to all the list members, send email to idcomm@lists.siue.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to IDComm
Subscribe to IDComm by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   If the email address you are using to subscribe to this list is your campus email address (i.e. one ending in @siue.edu), then you do not need to enter a password here -- to log into the "Subscribers" area below, you would use your e-ID and password instead. If the email address you are using to subscribe to this list is not your campus email address (i.e. one not with ending in @siue.edu), you can choose to enter a password for this list below. Do not use a valuable password as it may occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a list password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
