Welcome to the SIUE Parent Connection, designed to provide information that will keep you "connected" as your student begins or continues his or her education at SIUE. This e-newsletter will focus on issues parents have told us are helpful to them as they support their student's educational journey. Each issue will highlight a particular topic...such as money matters, living in community, campus safety, or dealing with the changes you and your student will experience through the college years. We hope you find the Parent Connection useful. This is a broadcast only newsletter and responses posted to the list are automatically discarded. But we don't want to lose your questions! Please send them to ksnyder@siue.edu and we will get back to you promptly. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the SIUE-Parents Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
Using SIUE-Parents
To post a message to all the list members, send email to siue-parents@lists.siue.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to SIUE-Parents
Subscribe to SIUE-Parents by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   If the email address you are using to subscribe to this list is your campus email address (i.e. one ending in @siue.edu), then you do not need to enter a password here -- to log into the "Subscribers" area below, you would use your e-ID and password instead. If the email address you are using to subscribe to this list is not your campus email address (i.e. one not with ending in @siue.edu), you can choose to enter a password for this list below. Do not use a valuable password as it may occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a list password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
